Hey guys
Sorry I rarely visit here! I had to admit, having slow internet, and having the site being glitchy and everything... it was such a chore to even post art here. I've been active in my Tumblr and Instagram though.
But that said... I just came back and checked, everything's working fine again. Does it have something to do with the fact I'm not a Core member anymore? I used to not be able to submit my works to groups, or change and edit my profile page... but now I can. I guess I'm just not going to buy a membership anymore :/
Just a heads up, I'm going to reopen the commission waiting list in around 4 hours. 8 PM, UTC+7. It's almost 4 PM here

in answer to your questions..
1. Do you sharpen your graphite/color pencils often while drawing? - yes, for detail like eyes and fur definitely. but for patches where i'm filling in a lot of mostly the same colour, i'll use a scalpel to make a blunt end.
2. If you use color pencils, don't some color used up faster that the others? Then what do you do with the less-used colors if some colors all used up? - yeah well my white pastels get used up really quickly! basically i just have to continually buy more.
3. Do you fully sketch you works or do you sketch the objects one by one? - before doing the colouring? yeah i do. but sometimes i find the proportions aren't completely right, especially if i'm attempting to draw a person or anything other than animals, and so i should have sketched them more thoroughly first. if they're a really complicated animal i can take up to 15 mins sketching it out.
4. Do you constantly use the same kind of paper? - usually i use an a3 pastel pad i have, which has different colours on it (deep blue, brown, cream, pale grey, beige and this ochre colour). or i'll use this white a3 pad, or a black one that i recently got (they're just normal a3 sketching paper tho, not pastel)
5. any random tips in coloring...? - i have a set of 60 awesome faber-castell pastel pencils, and surprisingly... i use pretty much all of them. (except for the bright pinks/blues/oranges) even when you think something looks a normal brown, it'll have SO many different colours in it. it's like with skin; i use about 8 different pencils to achieve the right tone! and pay close attention to shadows and highlights, because it'll make your picture so much more life-like if you do. (:
6. About my drawing... do you think i should draw more colored one? - whatever you think looks right. i think black and white often has a very big impact, it looks effective.. however i don't use it very often, because i try to get the picture to draw out feelings in people, not just look effective. i may not be making sense.. but basically i think colour is always a good idea to give an emotion to an animal.
And i wonder how do I scan it...? That's way too big for my scanner. I wish i had a better camera! - well i do speed drawings ([link] ) so the camera that is set up above my head can take the pictures for me. or else i use my SLR. sorry i can't really help you with this one /: yeah my a3 pictures are always too big for my scanner too!
school may seem a hardship, but it'll be worth it in the end (: i'm going to a college and taking art (but colleges in the uk may be different to where you are.. we have school until age 16, then college for 2 years where we take 4 subjects, then some of us go to uni where we take 1) but i'm not continuing it when i'm older, as a profession - 'cos it's so hard to get a good career out of it! even if you're very talented. i'd like to be a vet when i'm older, but i'm going to continue to draw in my spare time all my life. maybe when i'm retired - i'm planning ahead - i'll exhibit my work, but for now i'll just stick to commissions when i'm not focussing on revising for exams. (:
